Viktória Pamuki-Balogh

Viktória Balogh graduated from the Photography BA program at Kaposvár University in 2017 and continued her studies in the newly established MA program, where she completed her degree in 2019. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Young Photographers' Studio and served as a board member and secretary from 2019 to 2021. In 2017, she was admitted to the Studio of Young Artists' Association. From 2016 to 2019, she received scholarships from the Republic and New National Excellence Program, and in 2018 and 2019, she was a scholarship holder of the Hungarian Association of Photographers. In 2020 and 2021, she was awarded the József Pécsi Photography Scholarship. Currently, she is working on several solo and group exhibitions.

Viktória Balogh primarily engages with conceptual photography but incorporates artistic solutions in many of her works. She explores the possibilities of visual representation of knowledge and ignorance, examining them through symbols such as erased school boards, empty theater stages, high school notebooks, or the book series "Masterpieces of World Literature" that appeared before the regime change, as well as a garden that visually follows a completely different formal language. She treats various objects as allegories and uses them to inquire about the nature and future of human knowledge.
