VIKTÓRIA Pamuki–Balogh

The Unknown series presents objects whose role has changed greatly with the development of humanity and has taken on a new form. The objects appearing in the photographs played an important role in a certain era - thus they can be characterized by a kind of way of thinking - but the concrete objects have now become so dysfunctional that it is difficult to recognize some of them. Materiality and form refer back to function, which reflect the core of knowledge outstanding in their simplicity: most of them were created by simple mechanical structures or by the human hand itself.
